Choreographer Mohr, artist in residence at Shotwell Studios with visual artist Tracy Taylor Grubbs, has curated an evening of installations exploring the intersection of artmaking and awareness.
Through the media of paper, ink and the body, Mohr and Grubbs explore mark-making and ask, “What is the difference between an intuitive and a rational mark?”

Choreographer Christian Burns explores giving form to the intimate and simple act of seeing and being seen by another. Burns’ work asks, “where are we located, where is the movement coming from, how can we be truly seen, what does it mean to perform, are contradictions ok?”

Visual artist Sasha Petrenko will present her “Instructions for Movement with Furniture,” a set of instructions intended to facilitate a deeper relationship between the body and objects. Petrenko’s installation asks the audience, “How might our lives be enhanced by a greater understanding of where, how and by whom our objects are made?”
